Nov 14

I woke up and ran across downtown Valencia to get to the train station, bought my ticket with minimal confusion, and boarded to Madrid. Before coming to Madrid I heard a lot of people trash talk the capital of Spain, saying it wasn't impressive, boring, a party town that has some pretty pictures. So being the person I am I had to investigate. The train ride between Valencia and Madrid was pretty amazing, it went though pretty much every eco-system Spain has to offer but it took 6 hours, and was a regional train with really bad shocks (I got shaken hard!) I went to Valencia looking for two hostels, both were pretty terrible one was nice, but no kitchen, and the other was in the middle of the "alternative" district.... lots of hookers and sex shops. I found another one it a quieter area, but filled with smokers. It sucked but I got free breakfast and met with some Australian girls. I also found out it's Madrid's Jazz fest!! So I hit up a few venues. Then it started to rain.... boo
