November 17

After wandering a large park in the rain, and my umbrella breaking I went to the modern art gallery Reina Sofia. (http://www.museoreinasofia.es/portada/portada.php?) With the memories of the Prado still fresh in my mind I wanted to see something other than monarchs and more pictures of the virgin. What I saw was more deep that I could have expected. Modern art is more psychological imagery dealing with space, or trying to visualize abstract thoughts; Essentially right up my alley. For example, The works of Antonio Saura (http://www.antoniosaura.org/) deal with angst and lack of creativity during the Spanish dictatorship. Salvador Dali tricks himself into being crazy and creates distortions of photo realism. There are a number of works that deal with the concept of space, or the universe (as in palazueo's numbers ) or the aftermath of war (picasso's masterpiece, Guernica). There are many though, that don't make any sense, like Miros dots. But anyho still otherwise good
